MAY 2007: BORDEAUX ROTARY CLUB AND CARGOLUX HELP SEND EQUIPMENT
A voluminous shipment of equipment donated by a French clinic arrived in Kabul on May 11, thanks to Cargolux and Bordeaux Rotary Club, who funded most of the costs.
It was no easy arrangement. These equipments had been waiting for months before the necessary logistics for their shipping to Afghanistan could be settled.
Rotary Club Bordeaux Ouest members eventually organised and funded the appropriate packaging, resulting in 9 big crates for a total weight of over 4 tons. The Cargolux shipping company then took hold of the lot from Luxembourg to Kabul, via Baku.
These equipments will be operating in MRCA new Reconstructive Surgery Unit in Mazar-e Sharif, and in Logar or Kabul existing MRCA health facilities.
